If you are considering a private adoption, it is best to discuss the terms of the agreement with me as well as the birth parents and their attorney.

Some birth parents may request to remain present in some capacity in the child’s life.

An additional agreement will need to be made between the adoptive parents and birth parents in this situation.

When you are choosing to work with an agency, I can help you with all of the paperwork, ensuring that all documents are completed properly and provide support throughout the process.

The Process

Adopting a child is a process requiring patience and taking several steps.

We will double check all documents to ensure that the information is correct.

We will devise your plan together. When working with an agency, outlining your needs helps them find the right match for your preferences.

Involuntary Termination of Parental Rights

I am not only available to those wanting to adopt a child, but I am also an adoption lawyer that is here to help people who are facing an involuntary termination of their parental rights.

We must establish why your ability to parent your child should not be in question.

We must also complete a plan to help you maintain custody of your children. I will work hard, right along with you, to help the court see why you should be able to keep your children.
